Required skills and qualifications
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in French an advantage
- Experience in a bar or similar environment
- Experience of supervising and animating children an advantage
- Organised, adaptable, trustworthy, patient and presentable
- Sociable personality
Duties and responsibilities
- Participate in and contribute to the compulsory training and assessment period
- Manage the efficient operation of the resort's bar and activity area, ensuring opening and closing times are strictly adhered to
- Follow strict cash procedures and report takings on a daily basis
- Organise and promote special events in the bar
- Assist the programme staff with evening activity programmes, as required
- Carry out other house duties, including snow clearing, cleaning and preparation of guest bedrooms, as required
- Control the arrival inventory of bar equipment and maintain it throughout the season
- Control the hygiene of the bar on arrival and maintain it to the very highest standards throughout the season
- Establish and maintain the bar stock, ordering through designated suppliers, as required
- Produce stock inventories and budget analyses, as required
- Be a role model to the children, acting responsibly and in a caring manner at all times
- Show understanding of and appreciation for diverse cultural backgrounds within the children, school chaperones and Viamonde staff
