Driver / Handyman
Required skills and qualifications
- Fluent in English
- Good spoken French an advantage
- Clean driving licence, suitable for vehicles with 8 passenger seats
- Five years of consecutive, accident-free, driving experience (with vehicles with manual gears)
- Some practical skills - for example, painting, vehicle maintenance, basic plumbing, basic electrical maintenance, etc.
- Experience of supervising and animating children an advantage
- Organised, adaptable, trustworthy, patient and presentable
Duties and responsibilities
- Participate in and contribute to the compulsory training and assessment period
- Transport clients and staff in a safe and responsible manner, as required
- Carry out shopping, collecting and returning ski equipment, recycling, etc., as required
- Carry out basic chalet maintenance and repair, as required
- Be responsible for the resort vehicles - ensuring that they are always clean, levels checked (oil, wash, etc.), winter equipment in good working order (chains, etc.), etc.
- Carry out other house duties, including barman, snow clearing, cleaning and preparation of guest bedrooms, food service, washing up, etc., as required
- Be a role model to the children, acting responsibly and in a caring manner at all times
- Show understanding of and appreciation for diverse cultural backgrounds within the children, school chaperones and Viamonde staff
